frequently asked questions
You are a christian-based business. what does this mean to you and how is that reflected in your work?
We always seek to treat our couples, their friends and family, and other wedding professionals in the industry with kindness, grace, and love! I see my business as an opportunity to share what I think a marriage that glorifies God truly looks like! Marriage is a sacrificial kind of love... When we can put our partner's wants and needs first, this is a marriage that truly glorifies God, because it is a direct reflection of the sacrificial love that God showed to us by sending his Son, Jesus, to die on the Cross. As a small thank you and keepsake of our time together, I gift all of my couples a book called Vertical Marriage by married couple Dave and Ann Wilson on their wedding day.
WHAT IS A "SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT"?
A "single point of contact" is someone who communicates among a group of people working closely together (AKA you and your vendor team). As your trusted wedding planner, I will be your single point of contact during this process. I kindly ask that all communication come directly through me to ensure that we work as efficiently as possible and don't miss any of those important details.
Do you offer notary services?
No more getting married before your wedding day... Millie James Weddings is an Alabama Public Notary and can make your marriage official when the time is right for you! We just ask for 15 minutes on your wedding day to make it happen and a $20 notary fee.
WHAT ARE YOUR business HOURS?
Business hours are Monday-Thursday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Our office is open by appointment only. I am OOO on the weekends either working a wedding or spending time with my family, but will check my inbox again on Monday!
WHAT IS YOUR PREFERRED METHOD

Email and scheduled phone calls!
WHAT WORDS OF WISDOM CAN YOU OFFER YOUR COUPLES?
Remember you are planning for a marriage and not just a wedding. (Oh! And ALWAYS prepare for plan B.)
